A Game Called Snap !!

Hi there, well it's the Summer Holidays for lots of those mischievous smaller people out there...  they say breaking up is hard to do, but in the school holidays I bet it's not that hard !!!  So to stop boredom setting in I decided to give you all something to do...  that is if you want something to do...

I proudly present to you my version of the classic card game Snap.  Of course this being a crafty blog you have to make it for yourself, but it's not that hard to do.  In the download I have supplied two versions of the game, an Animal Snap set made up of some of your favourite images I have drawn in the past, and a Space Snap set, made up of  some of the more futuristic images I have designed.  I have also included a Snap Card Backing Paper, and a set of rules for the Snap game in case you don't know them.

If you are lucky enough to have a printer that will take thicker card then you can print the backing paper on one side and then turn the card over and print the snap cards on the other side.  You need a nice thickness of card, 200gsm plus, but if your printer can't do this you can always use thinner card and stick the front and the back together to make it thicker.

In snap you use 52 cards in a set, and because I can't count, and put 8 images on each page, you will need to print out the card set at least six times, which will give you 48 cards, when you have cut them all out.  You can of course do more or less.

If you want a harder game, try combining the Animal and Space sets together...  it's up to you.  I really hope you have fun with these...  I know they are a little different, but it will be nice to get your children or grandchildren involved with this freebie.

hugs to you all...

Howdy Ed Freebie

Hello all, hope you are well, I have been hopping around the various blogs, looking at all the wonderful freebies out there.  To be honest with you, some of the wonderful artwork, backing papers and images are better than a lot of the crafty things I have seen on certain cd's that you can buy.
Don't get me wrong, there are lots of brilliant crafty discs out there, I have lots of them myself, but I am so amazed at the wonderful freebies, that so many talented artists are giving away.  I made sure to leave each one I downloaded an appreciative comment, as artists love to know people are enjoying their hard work.  One of the best sites to find all these free images is,  Free Digital Stamps, if you have never paid a visit there go and check it out they have a great list of freebie sites to visit.

Okay, onto today's freebie, yes it's a dragon called Ed, and he is happily waving to you.  To download him, just click on the image above and you can download a coloured version of Ed in both jpeg and png format. Also, as usual, I have included a jpeg Digi Stamp.

If you like Ed, he might just make another appearance later this week, so don't forget to check back every now and again, just in case...

Penny For your Thoughts

Okay, so maybe your thoughts are worth more than a penny there days, so isn't it good that this Penny can be yours for absolutely nothing...  Did that make sense... it did when I was thinking about it, honestly some days you would want change from a penny for some of my thoughts.

Anyway, today's freebie is a bit of a tall order...  her name is Penny, and she is a Giraffe.  Why a Giraffe?  I just felt like giving one a go, and here is the result...  and that's the long and the short of it... Oh and please don't upset her by talking about her knee's... she is very sensitive on that subject.

Penny comes to you as a coloured jpeg and png image, and also a jpeg Digi Stamp, and you can get her by clicking on her image above.

Happy Crafting...

Log Cabin Freebie

What a sporty weekend I have just had...  with hubby Stuart watching the Grand Prix Qualifying on Saturday, the British Grand Prix on Sunday, and then the World Cup Final !!!  Funny that for a man who doesn't do a lot of sporty activities, if you don't count the WII, he has an awful lot of advice for all these sporting people on the tv...  lol.

I finally did some crafting, coloured in a digi stamp with my promarkers... had fun as well... which is the best bit about crafting.

Today's freebie is something I knocked up.. with a few nails and a rusty old hammer I found in the shed.  Okay, I used my laptop, you caught me out yet again, can't get nothing past you guys can I?  As you can see it's a log cabin, with a lovely crooked chimney, you could even if you wanted put a photo of someone in the window looking out...  The download includes, 1 coloured image in both jpeg and png format.... and of course the usual Digi Stamp image for you to enjoy.

Hope you enjoy this one, take care all and happy crafting...

Man's Best Friend Bookmark Freebie

Hi there, you might recognise this little fella, he just can't wait to save a place in any book you happen to be reading at the moment.  The quote is by none other than Groucho Marx, and the full version reads:-

'Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

I liked the first part very much, and thought it was really appropriate for a book mark.  So there you go, I have done a front and back, just cut out both and glue them together. You can make the bookmark any size you wish, but it fits nicely on a landscape A4 sheet of card. You can of course laminate it to make it more sturdier, but there is no need if you haven't got a laminator. As usual just click on the image above to go to the download site.

Thank  you all for you lovely comments about Darwin, he is a Congo African Grey, sorry I should of mentioned that Jaqi.  I shall have to post a full picture of him to show off his wonderful red tail, which as he grows older will become a really lovely rich red.  Tee Hee, I am off again...  talking about my new fav. subject of the moment...

Anyway folks, enjoy the book mark...  happy crafting...

Darwin Arrives...

Hey there, this is just  little post to show you the newest member of our family.  We call him Darwin, he was 13 weeks old yesterday.  So many of you wanted to see a picture of him when he arrived, and I am happy to post one.  His face is a little dirty, as he had not long had breakfast when this was taken, his breeder John gave us some weaning food to comfort Darwin for the first few days.  He is fully weaned, but it just a little piece of familiarity to keep him happy, and boy does he eat it !!!!  I tried him with a bit of banana today, which he promptly threw at the wall,  ah well... maybe next time he will like it more... lol.

Have no fear, I will be posting a new freebie real soon.  Just got to get it sorted out...  been a little busy around here lately...

Happy Crafting...
