Hey there, yes I have finally reached the 20,000 downloaded file mark, and that's a very large number. I am actually over 20,000 but as I test each link to make sure it works before my freebies go live, then I needed to go slightly over to be sure. Thank you all for enjoying my work so much you have decided to download, thank you again for all the lovely comments about my work, they are very much appreciated, and finally a big thank you to all those crafters who have used something I designed in your crafting.
To celebrate reaching the big 20K, I thought I would list the top 5 downloads, in reverse order, which for whatever reason have been saved onto you computer by you.
This was the very first freebie I put up, my first try at Digi Stamp drawing. I am always surprised to to see it in the top 5, hanging in there with a total of 365 downloads as of today. It took time to do this one, and there are several mistakes that today I would propably never of allowed, and I never did give the download a proper name. I have learnt a lot about drawing, and am still learning, but Freebie 1 is still a favourite, of you it seems as well as myself.
I really enjoyed making Peanut, he is so cute, I have used his basic body design for several different characters, but Peanut holds a special place in my heart and yours too it seems, after being downloaded 374 times in total as of today. Any card I have made with Peanut has been received with a smile, which I think sums up this Digi Stamps personality. The paper I designed to go with him is an added bonus, and I am really happy that this one is in the top 5.
What can I say about George the Owl, he has been a firm favourite with you all ever since I posted him. He was my Number 1 download for a very long time, and I even gave him pride of place in my banner at the top of my blog. I have received a huge number of comments about George, all good, and now with 382 downloads, as of today, under his wing, he richly deserves his number 3 spot in the top 5. I have used this design on cards, ATC's and
scrapbook pages. He is such a versatile image, and with the added bonus of a backing paper I think he will stay in my top 5 for a long time to come.
This one did surprise me, not that I don't like Lucy, she is baa-tiful!!! But to rise so quickly to the coverted number 2 spot was a surprise, Lucy along with her pals have had 393 downloads as of today. She was very easy to draw and really fun to make. The hardest part was the Word Art I included with her download.
To get everthing just right took a lot of time, but I am glad you like her so much.
From first posting these Digi Stamps, they romped into first place, and have remained there ever since, with a huge total of 450 downloads as of today, they are far and away my most downloaded image. Drawn at my mum-in-laws whilst staying over for 2009 christmas holidays, these took ages to tweak just right. You all loved these images, even though I managed to cut off one of the cottages sides in the image above (they are ALL whole in the download). I think everyone got really tired of me saying, what do you think of this, and does this work? But the end result was not displeasing, and thank you for downloading this one into the number 1 spot, and for enjoying so many of my other free downloads.
Okay, that's the top 5 downloads as they stand today, but with so many downloads both old and new nipping at their heels, I wonder if they will still be the top 5 when I reach 40k downloads. Keep watching this space to find out... LOL.
Hugs and much love to all my blogging and crafting friends, lots of whom I have never met in person, but who have kept me going in this blog and have really helped me and encouraged me with words of much kindness.
Happy Crafting...
